Joshua House Construction
Los Angeles Christian Health Centers, a non-profit organization, operates two full time and 12 part time clinics in Los Angeles. Providing comprehensive medical care to more than 10,000 people annually. Started in 1995 with the Joshua House, a turn of the century flop house, to serve homeless people on skid row in Los Angeles. The need for services has exploded and they have outgrown their current space. As a result, the organization, teamed up with a housing provider, Skid Row Housing Trust, to raise the funds to build a new mixed use housing and medical facility to provide the same comprehensive health care services within a new state of the art facility. I am volunteering to document the construction process as a means to aid the organization both in documenting the build and to provide assets for a continuing capital campaign. I am honored to be able to use my photographic skills to create the types of images that help to support this organization in their efforts to provide the health care needs that we all deserve to have.
The project broke ground in March of 2018 and completion date is tentatively set for August 2019.
